Ever wonder how it is that famous folks’s sex scandals are constantly popping up all over the web, and it appears as if they are not conscious of it? Everyone loves a little celebrity gossip here and there. We all know it is more entertaining when scandals aren’t about us. But what is it about other folks’s lives that we find so vital to keep up with? And why are scandals so entertaining? It can be many things.

Some things that interest us as humans when it comes to scandals can be prior experiences and relations. Occasionally, it can be a matter of being mesmerized by the lifestyles that celebs lead. When we see famous ( and in many cases ruined ) celebrities stumble over themselves because they see themselves as untouchable, we get a certain gratification in that. Additionally, for those famous individuals that we admire based mostly on their status ( like public leaders ), we simply can’t believe that they would do something to jeopardise that public standing and the trust that comes along with their position.

Virtually every week, well-liked people are exploited, or otherwise end up in a scandal. What’s surprising is how a number of these people act so surprised to be caught in the act. It’s like they didn’t think it would turn out that way. At some point soon, people must understand the actions they engage in can have a negative result on them later on down the road – even after they believe the event has been buried and forgotten about.

Take for example, last year during the Presidential elections. Word was leaked that Sarah Palin’s girl got pregnant in high school . Many people attacked Palin, since she is meant to be kind of an inspiration, and yet her daughter is underage and not only having sex, but got pregnant before getting wed.

If that wasn’t enough, soon after the start of the campaign, word leaked out that Palin’s daughter was no longer with the father of her baby. That was such a widespread shock, because many folks thought they might be getting married. The press made it sound like an enormous sex scandal. But think about it for an instant : relationships can begin and be really good. Then, out of the blue, take a turn for the worse. That’s something many people can relate to, but since it is some other person’s life, it is more surprising and entertaining to the public.

It is just man’s nature to show interest in others’s private life, so long as it’s not us, and it doesn’t affect our lives. We are entertained by those public figures who are glorified on the T.V., but who are then embarrassed in public at times for the stupid acts they do.

The entertainment industry thrives upon the public’s curiosity. As long as we consider our own lives to be less crucial or exciting than the lives of these stars, we’ll likely continue our infatuation with celebrity gossip. But aren’t we happy it’s not us in their place!
